1. Who we are

Eclipta Solutions Ltd ("Eclipta", "we", "our" or "us") is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16837699, with its registered office at Suite 16, Enterprise House, Bicester Business Centre, Telford Road, Bicester, Oxfordshire OX26 4LD.

This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit ecliptasolutions.co.uk (the "Site") or contact us through it. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. The information we collect

Information you give us

When you complete our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server records limited technical information when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the Site secure and reliable.

3. How and why we use your information

We use your personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so:

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you ask about — on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to, or in the performance of, a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • To operate, secure and maintain the Site — on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe and functional website.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations — where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

4. Cookies and analytics

This Site is intentionally lightweight. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers or cross-site analytics, and we do not load third-party fonts or scripts that profile you.

Any cookies we use are strictly necessary for the Site to function and security. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we never share it for third-party marketing. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Site and our email, and only to the extent necessary, including:

  • Cloud hosting and email infrastructure providers who host the Site and deliver the email you send us.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where required to comply with the law, exercise or defend legal rights, or prevent fraud or abuse.

Where any provider processes data outside the UK, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, after which it is deleted. Technical server logs are retained for a short period for security and then removed or anonymised. We will not keep your personal data for longer than necessary.

7. How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and secure, monitored infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • request portability of data you have provided to us; and
  • withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via our contact form. We will respond within one month.

9. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve them. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Please review this page periodically for any changes.
